Kalare's Necklace

Scholar Mailla

I have not found a great deal of knowledge about Kalare's Necklace. What little I have found indicates that the warrior who wore it was turned into a statue for using it. I hope that does not happen to you if you find it. My research says that this probably occurred in Oceanus Notos, but I cannot be sure.

Sphinx Aidoios

Sad. So sad is it to remember this one, but of it, I will relay:

I am a warrior of flesh no more but a warrior of stone.
I wonder if I will ever be free.
I hear the surf crash upon the beach and the harpies' screech.
I see men so still, so cold and none can speak.
I want to be released from this prison.
I am a warrior of flesh no more but a warrior of stone.

I pretend that eons have not passed.
I feel still the last kiss of my love.
I touch the stars each night, if only with my mind.
I worry that the world has forgotten me.
I cry inside for things left unsaid or tasks left unfinished.
I am a warrior of flesh no more but a warrior of stone.

I understand that the father cursed the necklace she gave me.
I say still that I love her, but that love was not meant to be.
I dream of a time when I may finally rest.
I try to refrain from losing hope.
I hope that one may break the curse by carrying her necklace away from the shrine.
I am a warrior of flesh no more but a warrior of stone.
